Beta Phi History

The Beta Phi Chapter was charted in 1957 on the campus of Cheyney State Teachers college Cheyney, Pennsylvania. The first Historically Black College University (HBCU). The chapter is very active on the campus of Cheyney University and has over 100 alumni members and growing. Our Chapter Day is on March 22nd. Which we will celebrate over 60+ years of service.

Beta Phi Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is in the Northeastern Region and is under the tutelage of the Theta Psi Sigma Alumnae Chapter located in Chester, Pennsylvania.
